Spain will begin to remove the barbed wire surrounding the occupied area of ​​Ceuta and Melilla

The European Press Agency reported that the barbed wire of the border fence in both Ceuta and Melilla, which will be dismantled from early February to early March.

According to the same agency, it is not surprising that all barbed wire in sensitive areas, known as repeated attempts to be bypassed by clandestine immigrants, will be removed in March.

This issue was one of the most important humanitarian issues touched on by the new Spanish Interior Minister, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, who, after taking up the post of interior minister, said he would remove these barbed wire because of the serious damage and wounds to the body of the illegal immigrants.

The barbed wire was ordered by the Spanish Interior Ministry during the José Rodríguez Zapatero government in 2005.
