The world’s largest music streaming platform collaborates with the world’s first cultural festival in terms of worldwide attendance.
“Thanks to Spotify, music lovers everywhere will have access to the official Mawazine 2019 playlists,” organizers said in a press release. Under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Mawazine celebrates its 18th edition in Rabat and Sale from June 21st to 29th.
By partnering with Spotify, Mawazine will connect fans to the greatest hits programmed this year, no matter where they are. “All over the world, fans will be able to listen to the titles that will be played and discover the artists present,” says the same source. For that, nothing more simple, they just have to go on the official page of Spotify devoted to Mawazine.
The collaboration between Spotify and Mawazine also aims to highlight some of the most talented Moroccan artists.
Since its creation in 2001, Mawazine has welcomed more than 1,300 renowned singers and musicians, such as Whitney Houston, Rihanna, Nancy Ajram and Justin Timberlake. This year again, a wide range of Moroccan artists, but also the Arab world and the whole continent, will perform alongside the biggest international stars. Zouhair Bahaoui, Lbenj and Zina Daoudia, among others, will be on the Salé stage. Lovers of oriental rhythms will also meet on the Nahda stage with Myriam Fares, Abu and Ramy Ayach. As for the stage of the OLM-Souissi, it will receive great world figures, including Travis Scott, Maluma, Marshmello and Migos.
