State of health emergency extended until November 10 in Morocco

The Council of Government, meeting Thursday in Rabat, decided to extend the state of health emergency until November 10, as part of efforts to combat the spread of the new coronavirus (Covid-19).

“The draft decree, presented by the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, aims to extend the duration of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory from Saturday October 10 at 6 p.m. to Tuesday November 10 at 6 p.m.” , specifies the press release of the council of government.

“Taking into account the context and while ensuring that the measures taken correspond to the epidemiological situation of the different regions and provinces, the text of the draft decree authorized the governmental authority responsible for the Interior to take the necessary measures to on a national scale in accordance with these data, in addition to giving the Walis and governors the necessary prerogatives,” it says.
