The Attijariwafa bank foundation has also organized, during last week in Casablanca, with the Young Business Leaders Center of Morocco (CJD Morocco), the 44th edition of its cycle of conferences “Exchange to better understand” around the theme: “Incubators: and whether it was the solution to revitalize entrepreneurship in Morocco?”.
This meeting made it possible to make an inventory of the incubation in Morocco. These incubators are intended to become one of the levers for the dynamisation of entrepreneurship in Morocco, thanks to their flexibility and adaptability.
As welcome word, Karim Idrissi Kaïtouni, executive director responsible for the corporate market of the Attijariwafa bank, recalled the context of the establishment of incubators in Morocco, and the main challenge they face. “Several incubators have been created to support the craze of Moroccans for the entrepreneurship and help them overcome obstacles. They have even become a must for upcoming startups. Incubation, however, remains a relatively new phenomenon in Morocco and its actors, who are numerous enough today, would benefit from coordinating their interventions and working in synergy, consolidating results and speeding up the pace. This is the challenge of the coming years”.
Hatim Rih, chairman of the Young Business Leaders Center, emphasized the importance of the theme for the future development of entrepreneurship in Morocco. “We can not talk about innovation without talking about the ecosystem of startups. In this ecosystem, incubators play an important role because these support structures help to remove obstacles to entrepreneurship and maximize the chances of success.”
