The best law firms in Morocco

In total, around fifteen Moroccan law firms were distinguished in the 2021 ranking of The Legal 500 in seven specialties of law. Taken individually, fifteen lawyers were awarded prizes in recognition of their talents deployed in cases handled in 2020.

DLA Piper Maroc, Asafo & Co Morocco and Bassamat & Laraqui stand out among the ranks of Moroccan law firms consecrated in this ranking. They are positioned as the best law firms in the market.

In the Financial Market Law category, DLA Piper Maroc still takes the lead. He is followed by Clifford Chance Morocco then Kettani Law Firm. Omnipresent and indomitable, DLA Piper Maroc, a subsidiary of the Anglo-American DLA Piper reaffirms its supremacy in Real Estate and Tourism and is ahead of the firms Gide Cuatrecasas Casablanca and LPA CGR.

In the Litigation category, DLA Piper is closely followed by Clifford Chance Morocco and, on the other hand, followed by Kettani Law Firm. In commercial law, three law firms stand out. Baker & Mckenzie occupies the first place leaving the two respective places to Corporate and Fusion & Acquisition and Bennani & Associés and Clifford Chance Morocco.

The ranking was tight in the intellectual property category where the Mehdi Salmouni-Zerhouni and Bakouchi & Habachi HB Law Firm offices simultaneously occupied the first place just before Kettani Law Firm and Afrique Advisor. E&Y Associated advisors and Gide Cuatrecasas Casablanca, Moroccan subsidiary of French CMS Francis Lefebvre, has imposed itself in tax law.

In addition to the merits recognized by The Legal 500 to Moroccan law firms, around fifteen lawyers taken individually were awarded in recognition of the talents deployed in numerous cases handled in 2020. This ranking of the best Moroccan law firms in The Legal 500 follows Chambers & Partners’ last Africa Awards 2021 ranking a few weeks ago.
