The Frenchman Franky Zapata managed Sunday morning the feat of crossing in about twenty minutes the Channel standing on his flying machine “Flyboard”, report the media.

On his second attempt, the 40-year-old born in Marseille took off at about 08:15 am (06:15 GMT) from Sangatte beach (Pas-de-Calais) in the north of France, refueled in kerosene at the halfway point and landed about twenty minutes after taking off from St. Margaret’s Bay in Dover on the south coast of England, says the same source.

He landed on the British side after having traveled the 35 km of standing strait on his flying machine equipped with five mini-turbojets that allow him to take off and evolve up to 190 km/h, with an autonomy of ten minutes.
