Morocco will play against Argentina on 26 March in a friendly match. Indeed, according to concordant sources, an agreement was found between the FRMF and the Argentine Federation.
According to sources, Messi’s team will first challenge Venezuela on March 22 before landing in Casablanca to face the Atlas Lions at the Mohammed V stadium. These two matches are scheduled as part of the FIFA dates. This match will allow Hervé Renard to test his squad before the start of the CAN 2019.
Sources from the FRMF have confirmed this information to Daily Morocco, with one detail. The match could be played in Spain and not in Morocco.
Remember that this is not the first time that Morocco faces Argentina. In 1994, a match was held on the sidelines of the Salta Cup (3-1 for Argentina). And in 2004, the two teams played in a friendly match in Casablanca which ended in the score of 1 to 0 in favor of the Argentineans.
Note that Morocco was initially facing the English selection, except that a disagreement around the date of the match has canceled this meeting.
