Private doctors decided a national strike to be held one day a month for three months. The dates are: October 18, November 22 and December 20, 2018.
All private medical organizations, including clinics are affected by this strike, except for emergencies.
Through this work stoppage, doctors want to claim their rights, but also those of citizens. The key points that will be highlighted during these events are:
- The unacceptable conditions of the sector:”Dignity of doctors”
- The absence of health insurance and retirement for health professionals
- Insufficient reimbursement for the citizen who pays 57% of the costs of care
- The reference fee for the medical examination, which has remained unchanged since 2006, although the regulatory law stipulates its revision every three years
To assert their claims, the president of the national association of private clinics, Redouane Semlali, stressed the importance of “working together”, calling on all private sector physicians to join the initiative for the sake of health and citizens.
