The car manufacturer Renault has decided to dedicate exclusively the production of the third generation of its Dacia Sandero model to Morocco.
The group has decided to move the production of this model to Morocco, reserving the Romanian automobile plant Renault Dacia for the production of “models with higher added value, as well as the Logan economic model”.
The third generation of Renault’s Dacia Sandero will be produced in its Moroccan factories in Tangier and Somaca in Casablanca.
Renault factories in Morocco started producing the Dacia Lodgy and Dokker models, as well as the Logan, in 2012. Sandero and Logan were subsequently both produced in Morocco and Romania.
Renault announced in early September that its two factories are preparing to manufacture new generations of Sandero, Sandero stepway and Logan.
Remember that the group exports nearly 90% of its production to 74 destinations.
