The American Homeland series is coming to an end. For her “swan song”, Homeland returns Claire Danes – who plays Carrie Mathison – to the forefront of the war on terror, and this is good news for the Moroccan fans of the series.
According to TVLine’s news, TV news and broadcasters, the eighth and final season of the series will be in Afghanistan. For this reason, the filming of the twelve episodes of the series will take place in Morocco, which will serve as a backdrop and environment Afghan, reports the same source.
This is not the first time that Homeland sets his bags in Morocco to shoot episodes of the espionage series. “The Kingdom has already hosted in the past filming several episodes of the sixth season of the series,” says TVLine.
Recall that the producers of the American series had already shot in Morocco in late 2013 a few episodes, season 3 of the series, in the cities of Rabat, Temara, Skhirat, Tamesna and Sale.
According to another American specialized media, cartermatt, Morocco offers the possibility of shooting in a good number of different environments, namely Mediterranean locations, desert and urban landscapes. “The famous series Game of Thrones, was shot partly in Morocco,” the media continues.
Note that during season 4, Cape Town in South Africa hosted the camera to represent the Afghan capital. According to the same sources, season 8 production is expected to begin in early February, before the planned release in July 2019.
