The Governing Council, meeting on Thursday, approved the extension of the state of health emergency for another month, until September 10.
Initially due to end on August 10, the state of health emergency was finally renewed for another month in view of the rather worrying epidemiological situation and the numbers on the rise in recent weeks.
It is in this sense that the government has decided to apply, from Wednesday August 5 at 8 p.m., a series of preventive measures in the prefectures of Tangier, Asilah and Fez.
In addition, the council adopted Legislative Decree 2.20.503, amending and supplementing Legislative Decree 2.20.292, relating to measures specific to the state of health emergency.
According to the introductory note of the new text, it will be a question in particular of applying a verbalization on the spot to the offenders, who will thus have to pay immediately the amount of the fine (MAD 300), on proposal of the agent and in counterpart of a payment receipt.
The on-site payment of the fine automatically cancels any prosecution, it is still notified.
