The state of health emergency in Morocco extended until June 30, 2022

The government council, meeting this Thursday, May 26, decided to extend the state of health emergency until June 30, 2022 at 6 p.m.

The Council thus approved draft decree No. 2-22-375 extending the duration of effect of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory to deal with the extension of the coronavirus (Covid- 19).

This draft decree grants the government authority in charge of the Interior to take all the necessary measures in relation to the evolution of the epidemiological situation in the country.

Given the need to ensure that the provisions and measures taken are adequate with the evolution of the epidemiological situation in the various regions and provinces of the Kingdom, the draft decree provides for provisions allowing the government authority responsible for the Interior to take, in the light of the epidemiological situation, all appropriate measures at the national level.
