The Arbitration Department and the Central Refereeing Commission of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) are seriously studying the possibility of using video refereeing, commonly referred to as VAR, during Botola pro games.
According to sources, the two bodies will train referees to this technique under the supervision of FIFA experts.
And to indicate that the FRFM had made a request to FIFA to use the VAR in Botola, but the governing body of world football had expressed the wish to wait until the end of the 2018 World Club, which is held in the United Arab Emirates, in order to evaluate the results and relevance of this new technique.
In addition, Yahia Hadka, director of the National Arbitration Directorate, had already visited FIFA headquarters in Zurich to take part in a training course on the use of VAR.
Recall that this system, which is supposed to reduce arbitration errors, has been repeatedly pointed at the finger, especially at the World Cup 2018.
