Due to the restrictive measures, tour operator TUI has canceled trips to Morocco and other non-European destinations until the end of April, and therefore during the spring break. This is what the spokesperson for TUI Belgium announced.
“At the moment, there is little prospect for us to be able to open non-European and distant destinations, which is why we have made this decision,” explains the tour operator.
Currently, the Belgian government has banned non-essential travel for its fellow citizens, including Moroccans residing in its territory until April 1. This ban is however subject to modification, which could be effective during the consultation committee of February 26.
TUI had meanwhile decided to cancel all tourist trips until the end of March. Only reservations for faraway destinations like Egypt, Mexico or Jamaica were allowed.
