The Tunisian president died on Thursday, July 25 at the age of 92 years.
Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi died on Thursday after hospitalization, the presidency said.
Beji Caid Essebsi, 92, was “in intensive care at the military hospital (in Tunis), and things were not going well,” said his son Hafedh Caïd Essebsi, also leader of the presidential party Nidaa Tounes, in the morning.
Recall that he had already been admitted late last June in a military hospital following a “serious malaise”. His son had expressed his gratitude for “the wave of sympathy and solidarity expressed by Tunisian men and women towards the President of the Republic, as well as by the friends and brothers of Tunisia”.
