The total amount of hashish seized from a passenger woman of Tunisian nationality, arrested at the Mohammed V international airport of Casablanca, reached 857 grams, we learn from the Casablanca security prefecture.
The 27-year-old respondent was arrested when she was preparing to board a flight bound for the capital Tunis, says the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) in a statement, stating that the preventive search operation seized 28 grams of hashich in the form of 4 capsules camouflaged under his underwear. She was also suspected of carrying other capsules of the same drug in her intestines.
The defendant was placed under medical supervision at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital Center in Casablanca in order to extract the capsules from his intestines, according to the same source, stating that the total amount of the drug seized was 857 grams of hashish, in the form of 151 capsules.
The defendant was placed in police custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, in order to clarify the circumstances and ramifications of this case, the statement concluded.
