UNESCO chooses Morocco for its “OWS”

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is organizing a symposium on the sustainable management of water resources from 28 to 31 October in Morocco, dedicated to African and Arab countries.

This Open Water Symposium (OWS), to be held in Rabat, aims to broaden access to information, knowledge and technologies to support the management of water resources. It also aims to promote access and use of open source and/or open source software as sustainable tools to support sustainable resource management.

To do this, the participants, selected from politicians, students, academics or even actors from the water sector – as planners of water resources – will receive training on different software applied to various aspects of water management such as irrigation, flow management, wastewater treatment or mapping.
