Universal Music sets up in Morocco

Universal Music Group (UMG) arrives in Morocco. The world leader in music entertainment has just launched new divisions in Morocco and Israel, as part of a significant expansion of its operations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

“This expansion further strengthens UMG’s global commitment to signing and developing national and regional talent, while strengthening local musical ecosystems and infrastructure,” says UMG. The latter becomes the first major music company to establish independent offices in Morocco and Israel, strengthening its existing network of UMG operations in more than 60 countries around the world.

Universal Music Morocco will operate from Casablanca, under the direction of Serena Safieddine, responsible for local business development, who will work with the current regional headquarters of UMG in Dubai, and will report to Patrick Boulos, CEO of Universal Music MENA.
