US pressuring Morocco to back anti-Hamas resolution at UN

The United States lobbied Morocco to support them by denouncing Palestinian Hamas and voting for a US resolution at the UN General Assembly.

According to diplomatic sources, the US has put pressure on Morocco to denounce the Palestinian organization Hamas. The purpose of his American actions, is to push Morocco to vote in favor of an American resolution denouncing the actions of the Palestinian organization.

According to a statement, an American diplomat sent a letter to his Moroccan counterparts urging them to support the American proposal. This is Jason Grinblat, the chief of American diplomacy in the Middle East, reveals the same source. The purpose of his letter and the US resolution is to demonize Hamas and sanction it by the international community.

Based on data relayed by the Israeli daily Haaretz, Morocco is not the only Arab country to be solicited by the Americans. Indeed, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE and Egypt have received letters from the US diplomat for the same reasons. This diplomatic correspondence comes a few hours before the consideration and adoption of this draft resolution by the UN General Assembly.
