The coach of the Atlas Lions, Vahid Halilhodzic, has finally returned to the Kingdom, after being blocked in France due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Indeed, absent for 4 months because of the border closure, Vahid did not have much to say to the press who came to wait for him at Rabat airport: “I have no statement to make, I came home and it is very good … It was not easy”.
According to recent information from the Croatian press, Dinamo Zagreb, the club with which Vahid won the championship in 2011, have made him a serious candidate to take over the club next season. Asked about this, the coach made a point of clarifying his future:
“I am a coach who has a contract with Morocco. I’m busy right now and it’s hard to talk about it. We must not get into controversy and give hope. Everything is possible in life, but for the moment I run Morocco and I have obligations towards the selection of the country”, he replied.
As a reminder, the Franco-Bosnian tactician was appointed to head the Moroccan selection on August 15, 2019, in place of Hervé Renard, who left for Saudi Arabia.
