The 6th edition of Visa For Music will take place from November 20th to 23rd in Rabat, in the prestigious Palais Tazi, the Mohammed V National Theater, Cinema and Renaissance Club, as well as in other partner venues.
The first professional exhibition and festival of music in Africa and the Middle East, Visa For Music was born in 2014 from a paradox: on the one hand, the lack of visibility of artists from Africa and the Middle East to international, on the other, the presence of an artistic dynamism and an extremely rich musical creation. To counter this imbalance, Visa For Music’s primary mission is to highlight the artistic creation of Africa and the Middle East, mainly in world music and contemporary music.
In a 40 minute short – showcase format – intended primarily for professionals, artists can show what they do best and more representative of their creation, in live public conditions.
And to increase the possibilities of meetings, the market gathering booths of foreign delegations, labels, booking agencies, festivals, etc., as well as the speed-meeting give the artists privileged opportunities to present and directly promote their job.
Since 2014, Visa For Music has been proud to have fulfilled its mission and to have allowed national and international artists to make themselves known and perform on European stages mainly, but also in all other regions of the world. Visa For Music has become a highly anticipated gathering of more than 2,000 artists, professionals and journalists from around the world each year.
Conferences open to all as well as workshops for emerging artists and cultural actors and trainings complete the rich programming.
Five editions in figures:
350 exhibitors from 170 countries
