WAC-EST: Wydad to seize CAS

A well-informed source in Wydad has just confirmed that the Casablanca club intends to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport regarding the WAC-EST final. “We intend to seize the CAS, but it is not yet official,” says our source.

Recall that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) decided to replay the match between the Casablanca WAC and Esperance Tunis (EST) counting for the final return of the Champions League Africa.

A decision after which the Tunisians had announced that they would seize the CAS. For its part, the WAC did not comment.

Wydad Casablanca President Saïd Naciri had planned to file a complaint with FIFA against several CAF officials and the Tunisian federation.

The boss of WAC had not denied during his stint on the show “The Match”, broadcast on Medi1 TV, that several officials, tried to convince him to continue the game. In return, they promised him help so that Wydad could win the next edition of the African Champions League.
