Walid Azaro seems to have regained his cruising speed. Author of a double, the Moroccan international led his team to victory against Atlabara FC (4-0), in the match counting for the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
Ali Maaloul opened the scoring for Al Ahly in the 17th minute of penalty play before the Moroccan striker doubled the lead in the 32nd minute. 14 minutes later, Azaro reoffended by scoring the third goal of his own. Ahmed El-Sheikh broke the nail mark in the 90th minute.
Recall that Azaro is under contract with Al Ahly until 2021. He scored 7 goals and issued 5 assists in 28 games last season.
Conquered by two European clubs namely, KKK Gent, playing in Belgian D1, and the “Girondins de Bordeaux”, in Ligue 1, the 24-year-old striker finally chose to stay in Egypt.
