WMTA: Muay Thai World Championship to be held in Marrakech

The Muay Thai World Championship organised by World Muay Thai Association  (WMTA) will be held on June 22 in Marrakech.

The program of this event will be marked mainly by the fight of the Moroccan world champion Zakaria Tijarti against the French “Totof” (-66,80Kg), the Royal Moroccan Federation of kick boxing Muay Thai-savate and similar sport in a statement.

Other fights are also on the menu, including those between Morocco’s Yassnie Chakir to triple French champion Ismail Doumbia (-75Kg), and Thai Raxamba to world junior champion and France’s Achille Robinet (-63.5Kg), says the same source. Also to watch the fighting between Othamen Rhouni (-61Kg) and Ilyas Imankoun (Netherlands), Amine El Harab and Salaheddine Baryane (-63.5Kg), as well as the confrontation of Saad El Kabssi against the Algerian Ghilass Brach (-70Kg).

Zakaria Tijarti was crowned WMTA World Champion in Muay Thai beating Spaniard Mikel Sortino.
