12.5% of the Moroccan population is disabled

The number of people with disabilities reached 12.5% of the total Moroccan population, according to a national survey on disability conducted by the State Secretariat for the Family.

Every family in four is affected by disability, according to this survey conducted with the technical assistance of Handicap International.

The study also found that this segment of the population has a low education, stating that 66.1% of this category have no education.
