22 Moroccan migrants disembark at Sebta

The elements of the Civil Guard intercepted 22 Moroccan migrants, including 22 minors, who arrived this morning in Sebta.

Their boat capsized at the locality of Benzú, but the migrants managed to reach the coast. Some of them suffer from hypothermia, said the elements of the Civil Guard. The two teenage migrants will be delivered to the Moroccan security forces via the Tarajal border and the rest, teenagers of 16 or 17 years old, will be accommodated in the reception centers.

In 2018, 3,344 unaccompanied foreign minors, mostly Moroccans, entered Sebta, up 446% from 2017.
