55.5 million euros. This is the amount of the deal concluded last Thursday in Rabat between the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) and the German institution Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW).
This deal covers contracts for several programs covering the field of drinking water supply and liquid sanitation. This includes a program for the supply of drinking water to small and medium-sized centers (component 2-tranche 1) for a total of € 28.5 million, including measures to increase and strengthen production, pumping, transportation, storage and distribution of drinking water to cover current and future needs of areas served or expanded.
The contract also covers Settat’s drinking water supply and improved performance for € 22 million. This program will benefit 352,000 inhabitants.
