This is a first in Morocco. The commercial court in Rabat condemned the ONCF to pay compensation of 20,000 dirhams to a citizen who had complained after the delay of the train.
According to sources, the passenger indicated that he was heavily affected by the delay of his train from Meknes to Casa Voyageurs. He presented to the court a document proving that he is a trainee lawyer and that he was obliged to go to the city to attend an invitation conference of the Casablanca Bar. Except that the train he took arrived at 16h, lagging behind almost an hour and a half.
The complainant’s defense thus ensured that the consequences of this delay will affect his career and his future as a lawyer.
