Hicham El Guerrouj has lost one of his records. Indeed, the Ethiopian Samuel Tefara has sprayed, this Saturday, February 16 in Birmingham, England, the world record of the indoor 1500 meters (3m 31s 18/100), held by former Moroccan champion Hicham El Guerrouj.

Tefara has managed to beat, 22 years later, this famous record by achieving a time of 3m 31s 4/100.

Recall that Hicham El Guerrouj holds another record of 1500 meters (3m 24 s).
