Morocco international Munir El Haddadi is in the sights of AC Milan as they look to strengthen their squad during the winter transfer window.
A transfer which could take place in the form of an exchange with Sevilla FC between Munir El Haddadi, whose contract expires in 2023, and Samu Castillejo, who wishes to return to his native country. The Atlas Lion is a versatile forward who could be useful both as a third forward or as a second forward to bolster Milan’s ranks.
Before the Rossoneri, several other clubs including West Ham, Crystal Palace, Feyenoord, OGC Nice, Ajax Amsterdam and Genoa took an interest in the former FC Barcelona. “Munir received many offers in the Netherlands, PSV and Feyenoord, watched him until the last moment and Ajax, were also considered. It was a good option, but he hasn’t played for a long time. Why didn’t it happen,” the player’s agent Francesc Valdivieso said.
“From England, Crystal Palace and West Ham United showed a lot of interest until the last moment. From Italy, Genoa, Turin and Napoli were interested at the start of the transfer market. Genoa was the most serious until the last moment. From France, OGC Nice and Nantes have constantly inquired. There were also offers from Fenerbahçe and PAOK Salonika, which persisted until two hours before the deadline. Munir ultimately did not want to leave Seville or Spain. He did not find Spain’s offers attractive enough,” he added.
