AfCON 2019: Morocco officially declared in the death group

The challenge will be taken up for the Atlas Lions who were nominated in a DEATH group during the draw for the 32nd edition of the African Cup of Nations (AfCON 2019) which has just been held in Egypt.

In the presence of Hervé Renard and Mustapha Hadji, the Atlas Lions found themselves in Group D, which promises a tantalizing Morocco-Ivory Coast, South Africa which has made clear progress lately and Namibia is back in African competitions. This group includes tough opponents who have the ability to stop Morocco’s dream of winning the second African Cup in its history.

Morocco, which appeared in hat 1, was able to avoid Senegal, Egypt, Cameroon, Nigeria and Tunisia, which could also reduce the chances of qualifying.

This AfCON-2019, the first of 24 teams, will see not only the first two of each pool qualified, but also the top four thirds will qualify for the round of 16.

Here is the composition of the groups:

Group A: Egypt, DR Congo, Uganda, Zimbabwe

Group B: Nigeria, Guinea, Madagascar, Burundi

Group C: Senegal, Algeria, Kenya, Tanzania

Group D: Morocco, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Namibia

Group E: Tunisia, Mali, Mauritania, Angola

Group F: Cameroon, Ghana, Benin, Guinea-Bissau

Remember that AfCON 2019 will be held from June 21 to July 19. The meetings will take place in 4 cities: Cairo, Alexandria, Ismailia and Suez.
