AfCON 2019: The VAR finally adopted from the quarter-finals

Nearly two months separate us from the African Cup of Nations. It will play 24 teams for the first time in its history. And that’s not all.

The African Football Confederation decided to use the VAR to limit mistakes and arbitration confusion but only from the quarter-finals. Moreover, the majority of the breeders, engaged with their respective teams in the competition, had asked for it. It is in all that advanced Canal + Africa Tuesday, April 16. AfCON 2019 will take place in Egypt from July 21st to 19th.

The national team, which has inherited Group D, will compete on June 23 against Namibia. The men of Hervé Renard then cross the iron with the Elephants of Ivory Coast before defying South Africa.
