The investments financed by the French Development Agency (AFD) in Morocco in 2018 reached 405.8 million euros, said Tuesday in Rabat, the director of the Agency in Morocco, Mihoub Mezouaghi.
This figure is up 60% in three years, said the Agency on the occasion of the presentation of its balance sheet in Morocco. The Agency recently unveiled the results of its operations worldwide for the year 2018.
“We must add to these financing those carried by the subsidiary Proparco, dedicated to the private sector, which amount to 2018 to 20.2 million euros,” said Mezouaghi.
Between 2017 and 2021, a total of 2 billion euros of investment will be made by AFD in Morocco. These commitments will consist of loans to the State and public companies, and grants that accounted for, in 2018, nearly 5.8 million euros, said the head of the AFD in Morocco.
