Africa Super Cup: Raja to face Tunis Esperance in Qatar

The organizing committee of the African Super Cup announced Wednesday that the match between Raja Casablanca and Esperance Sportive Tunis, to be held on March 29 at the stadium club Al-Gharafa, as part of the 2019 edition of the competition.

“The match will take place on March 29 at 7 pm at the Al Gharafa club stadium, which has a capacity of more than 20,000 spectators,” said committee representatives at a press conference, noting that Doha is hosting the African Super Cup under the agreement signed on December 12, 2018 by the President of the Qatar Football Federation, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al-Thani, and the President of the African Football Confederation (CAF) Ahmed Ahmed, in the framework of strengthening the partnership between the two parties.

The committee expressed its pleasure to host this sporting event, especially since Raja Casablanca and the EST have supporters in Africa, Qatar and the Arab world.

And to note that the preparations for the organization of this match are ready, underlining that this Arab-African football event is part of the sporting events that Qatar is hosting as a sporting destination and allows Doha to acquire a “significant” experience” for the organization of the 2022 World Cup.
