Easyjet has also announced the cancellation of its flights to Morocco until February 1, 2022. The low-cost company, like other airlines, has been on hold since the decision to suspend all flights to and from Morocco from November 29 to December 13.
“Mandatory flight cancellations have affected 160,000 Easyjet customers to date and, due to continuing uncertainty, Ryanair has been forced to cancel all of its Moroccan flights scheduled until February 1, 2022, leaving 230,000 additional passengers facing disruptions to their travel plans,” announced Easyjet
Commenting on the decision, Andrew Middleton, Easyjet commercial director, said he “deeply regrets the unnecessary disruption suffered by [the] passengers due to the cancellation of these flights to Morocco until February 1, 2022, due to the lack of of clarity from the Moroccan authorities on what to expect, beyond their initial decision to ban travel until December 13”.
To conclude, Easyjet considers that the disruption caused is “unnecessary”. The company is joining Ryanair, which had already announced a similar decision.
