The low-cost airline Air Arabia launched Monday, a new air link Casablanca-Prague with two weekly flights, Monday and Thursday, continuing the densification of its international network from Morocco.
The official launch of this link, one of the five new airline services opened by the company, took place through the organization of a first direct flight to Casablanca International Airport Mohammed V, in the presence of the Ambassador from the Czech Republic to Morocco, Viktor Loreng and Air Arabia-Morocco Managing Director Laila Mechbal.
On landing, the plane that operated this flight was entitled, as is the tradition, to a welcome water jets “Water Salute” from the fire department of the airport.
In a statement to the press, Mr Loreng said that the launch of the direct break between Prague and Casablanca will improve their accessibility to the citizens of Morocco and the Czech Republic, highlighting the development of ties between the two countries since the last visit of the Czech Prime Minister to Morocco.
He also referred to the added value of this flight for Moroccan-Czech commercial relations and business communities, noting that the tourism sector in Morocco will also benefit from this connectivity to attract more customers from the Czech Republic.
For her part, Ms. Mechbal, pointed out that customers of the company will be able to book from April 1 flights from Casablanca to Prague, Pisa (Italy), Lisbon and Tunis.
As for the Casablanca-Tunis and Casablanca-Lisbon routes, it said that these return flights would be operated at a frequency of three weekly flights Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, noting that Pisa will be served, at the rate of two flights (go- back) per week, Monday and Thursday.
Departing from Tangier, passengers will also be able to reach the city of Lyon for the first time with two weekly flights on Monday and Thursday, she said.
In addition to these five new lines, Air Arabia Morocco has also densified this summer, its existing network by adding additional frequencies to Brussels from Tangiers, Nador, Fez and Casablanca, to Barcelona from Tangier, Nador and Casablanca and to London from Tangier.
The Air Arabia network was also strengthened by flights to Madrid from Tangiers, to Paris from Tangiers and Fez, to Lyon from Casablanca and Fez, and to Montpellier from Marrakech, Fez and Nador.
