Ajax Amsterdam sued with Abdelhak Nouri’s family

While the dispute between them is pending before the courts, the Ajax Amsterdam club is trying to reach an amicable settlement, by proposing a sum of 5 million euros to the family of the Moroccan-Dutch player Abdelhak Nouri.

By making this proposal to the Nouri family, the management of Ajax Amsterdam hopes that it will be accepted to end all legal proceedings, Voetbal Primeur said. According to the same source, the sum of 5 million euros represents compensation demanded by the family of Abdelhak Nouri.

In 2017, the player suffered a stroke in a match between Ajax Amsterdam and Werder Bremen. He had fallen into a deep coma from which he recently awoke. His parents accused his club of not having assumed his responsibilities. They also asked him for compensation. But the club had so far turned a deaf ear.

Subsequently, the case was brought before the competent courts. Ajax Amsterdam now appears to display a willingness to accept the Nouri family’s request.
