Ajax Amsterdam broke Abdelhak Nouri’s contract on Monday 30 March. A breach of contract which occurs a few days after coming out of a coma.
Things seem to be going faster for the Moroccan-Dutch player, who is still in bed. No sooner had he woken up after 2 years and 9 months in a coma than his club made decisions involving his future in football.
According to De Telegraaf, Ajax Amsterdam has broken the block against the 22-year-old. The club made the move because of a clause that could automatically extend Abdelhak Nouri’s lease effective July 1.
Before the announcement of this breach of contract, the club tried to reach an amicable settlement in the context of the dispute between the player’s family. Ajax offered 5 million euros as compensation. In 2017, the Nouri suffered a cardiovascular accident during a match between Ajax Amsterdam and Werder Bremen.
