Al Jazeera created an uproar on Thursday (February 14th) when the channel broadcast on its official page information about Saddam Hussein’s granddaughter, accompanied by a photo of Moroccan actress Loubna Abidar.
Several Internet users immediately reacted to the “blunder” of Al Jazeera who was quick to remove the photo of Abidar. The channel believed that she was the granddaughter of the former Iraqi president.
Others, more understanding, felt that the mistake is human and that journalists make such mistakes because of the workload and stress.
