The President of the Gabonese Republic Ali Bongo Ondimba, left Saturday, Morocco at the end of a medical stay in the Kingdom, for the purpose of rehabilitation and convalescence.
On his departure from Rabat-Salé airport, the Gabonese President was greeted by the head of government, Saâd Eddine El Othmani.
After reviewing a detachment of the Royal Armed Forces that paid tribute, Ali Bongo Ondimba was greeted by the Wali of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, governor of Rabat prefecture, Mohamed Yacoubi, president of the Council of the region, Abdessamad Sekkal, the governor of the Salé prefecture, Omar Touimi, the Commanding Officer of the Rabat-Salé Weapon Square and the chairman of the Salé commune council, as well as other civilian and military figures.
The Kingdom of Morocco and the Gabonese Republic maintain strong relations of friendship and solidarity, based on deep and historical ties of fraternity between the two peoples and the two Heads of State.
