An Air Algerie plane forbids flying over The Kingdom

A plane of the national airline Air Algerie, carrying 148 supporters of the Jeunesse sportive de la Saoura (JSS) was forbidden to fly over the Moroccan airspace, has been learned from concordant sources.

This Saturday, Morocco refused an Air Algerie aircraft to cross its airspace. The crew of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which was to connect Bechar to Casablanca before converging on the city of Tangier, was informed by the Moroccan authorities of the refusal to fly over their territory.

On the side of the passengers as of that of the company, the misunderstanding remains whole all the more that the Moroccan authorities did not provide any justification for this refusal. “Air Algerie has done everything to ensure this trip for supporters of JS Saoura on the eve of the match,” said Amine Andalousi, spokesman for Air Algerie.

JS Saoura second representative of Algeria in the African Champions League will face IR Tangier today, in the match for the round of 32 of the competition. In the first leg, played on Dec. 15 at the Stade du 20 août Bechar, the JSS was imposed on the score of 2 goals to 0.
