A quantity of 1.245 kg of cocaine, packed in 110 capsules, was extracted from the stomach of a Brazilian national Friday at the University Hospital Center (CHU) Ibn Rochd in Casablanca, said the Casablanca police headquarters.
The elements of the police at the Mohammed V International Airport arrested the respondent on February 2, when he arrived on board a flight from Sao Paulo, Brazil, for suspicion of cocaine trafficking in his stomach, which necessitated his placement under medical supervision at Ibn Rochd Hospital, DGSN said in a statement.
After the extraction of all the capsules and the stabilization of the state of health of the defendant, he was placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, according to the same source.
