The Arab League is helping Palestine. After the Israeli measures to freeze $ 10 million owed to the Palestinian Authority each month, the Arab League pledged Sunday, April 21 to pay $ 100 million to Palestine per month.
“We confirm that the Arab countries will support the Palestinian state budget, by providing it with a financial safety net in order to withstand the political and financial pressure it faces,” the Arab League said Sunday night.
Israel decided to freeze taxes collected on behalf of the Authority last February after a Palestinian raped and murdered an Israeli woman. In response, Palestine has indicated that it is cutting all the VAT and customs duties it needs to recover.
