Arab reading challenge: Fatima-Zahra Akhiar represents Morocco

This year, Fatima-Zahra Akhiar, a 15-year-old student, will represent Morocco at the famous “Arab reading challenge” contest, the grand finale of which will take place next October in Dubai.

Originally from Tetouan, the young teenager studied in high school qualifying Cadi Ayyad and follows the science branch (French language option) of the international baccalaureate.

She was selected for the final after winning the playoffs at the national level.

“This year saw the participation of more than 7670 schools and nearly a million 125 thousand students,” said the Minister of Education, Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research Said Amzazi on his Twitter account while congratulating Fatima-Zahra Akhiar.

Recall that last year, it was Meryem Amjoun who won the contest in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Aged just 9 years old, the little Moroccan has managed to win against 16 finalists, causing admiration and emotion on the web.
