Arrival of the first flight from Israir to Marrakech

An Israeli airline Israir plane will land in Marrakech on Sunday July 25. This is the first direct flight between Morocco and Israel.

A commercial flight to Israir from Tel Aviv will land in Marrakech tomorrow Sunday for the first time since diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel were normalized last December. This flight will mark the arrival of the first Israeli tourists to the kingdom.

“Flights to Morocco would take about five hours each way and ticket prices would start from $ 499 round trip,” El Al said in a statement. This airline will operate flights from Tel Aviv to Mohammed V airport in Casablanca.

Last week, Siham Rida, president of the provincial tourism council of Ouarzazate and Simon Haim Skira, founding president of the Israel-Morocco friendship association signed a partnership agreement for the year 2021/2022. The two sides expect to welcome 50,000 Israeli tourists by the end of 2021 and 200,000 Israeli tourists each year. As for professionals in the sector, they count on welcoming 300,000 Israeli tourists to achieve financial health.
