Artisanal cooperatives authorized to manufacture masks

Specialized in sewing in the Marrakech-Safi region, craft cooperatives can now obtain free authorizations for the making and marketing of protective masks against Covid-19, said the president of the Chamber of Crafts of the region, Hassan Chamis.

The latter indicated that it is possible for cooperatives operating in the field of sewing in the Marrakech-Safi region to contact the Moroccan Institute for Standardization (IMANOR) in order to obtain, free of charge, the authorizations -approvals which allow them to manufacture and market protective masks. He also stressed the need for intervention with banking establishments for the granting of interest-free loans to artisans in the “Damane Oxygene” program.

As a reminder, the operation of obtaining the necessary authorizations cost the cooperatives between MAD 6,000 and 7,000.
