The automotive supplier Varroc Lighting Systems, (subsidiary of the Indian Varroc) inaugurated today February 26, a unit of headlamps and taillights in the presence of Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry and Commerce and of a parterre of personalities including the management of society.
The factory, located at Tangier Automobile City, covers 17,000 m² of which 2,000 are dedicated to an engineering center, the 16th largest group in the world. The total investment is 486 million dirhams with eventually employing 650 people for a projected turnover of one billion dirhams for export.
The Tangierise unit, the first of Varroc in Morocco, will supply Renault, PSA and Volkswagen. A project to supply Ford’s European plants is also planned.
