Automotive: Magna invests more than 100 MAD million in Kenitra

As announced, the Canadian group Magna International Inc. recently started construction work on its plant in Kenitra. This site, which mobilizes an investment of more than MAD 100 million ($ 11.3 million), will provide automobile manufacturers with exterior and interior mirror systems. The plant (6.000 m²) will generate 275 jobs and will enter the production phase in the spring of 2020.

“The expansion in Morocco is a strategic move for Magna, as our customers continue to grow in the region,” said John O’Hara, president of Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting, adding that the company is seduced by the number high number of skilled employees and engineering talent in the region.
