Moroccan champion Badr Hari is now set on a new date for his first fight of the year. Tested positive for the coronavirus, the Moroccan star has been quarantined in order to undergo adequate treatments for his recovery.
Initially scheduled for November 7, Badr Hari’s return to the ring is postponed until December 19. He will be opposed to a major challenger, the Romanian Benjamin Adegbuyi, second in the heavyweight classification.
This fight, eagerly awaited by the Moroccan and his many fans, will take place in a covered room in the Netherlands, with a very small audience in order to limit the risk of the spread of Covid-19.
While waiting for this date, the Moroccan recovers. According to him, however, he respected the barrier gestures before discovering that he was infected. “This contamination shows us how seriously we need to take the virus. Right now, I need to rest and I will resume training as soon as possible,” he wrote on his Instagram account.
