Blinken and Bourita want to strengthen relations between Morocco and the United States

The Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs was received yesterday afternoon by his American counterpart. At the heart of the exchanges between Nasser Bourita and Antony Blinken, the strengthening of relations between Morocco and the United States.

The meeting took place at the headquarters of the US State Department. Blinken said he wanted to deepen relations with Morocco. Discussions also covered several topics of common interest.

“We have long relations with Morocco and we want to deepen them,” said the head of American diplomacy at the press conference which followed this interview.

As for the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, he declared that “it is time to innovate more in the partnership between the two countries”. The two personalities also discussed climate change, regional issues such as Libya but also the Sahara issue.
